Delightful
UPDATE
The word is out… it’s going to be colder than a polar bear’s toenails on Friday night in South Bend. Bundle up y’all.
With a high of 33 during the day, you might want to start thinking about some type of warm and cozy adult beverage while you’re out tailgating.
And then… the sun goes down and the freaks come out. The wind does die down a little bit, but it’s going to be grown man football out there in the low 20’s. Remember… the louder you yell the warmer you feel.
While it’s still not very likely that we see any significant snow, this weather will have a significant impact on the teams in action — more specifically in the passing game (in my opinion).

Even before the 12 team college football playoff was made official, Notre Dame football fans have been eagerly anticipating a first round game in South Bend. For far too long, college football has taken the fun of an outdoor sport in the postseason and thrown it in the trash for “warmer” destinations.
It’s ridiculous.
North of the Mason-Dixon line, we refer to it as “football weather” and it’s one of those things that helps separate the men from the boys — can you play in 20 degree weather? No? So… you’re just going to tell the Buffalo Bills when they draft you “no thanks” and then enter an internship at Chick-fil-A?
Well here we go… December football in the Midwest — kind of.
The preliminary weather report for the weekend of the first round in South Bend is probably a little more mild than fans might have hoped for should the Alabama Crimson Tide be the team across the field. Still — it’s not October.
Something to monitor…
