Heart him
The Notre Dame football roster is full of great players — known and unknown. No matter the place on the depth chart or the recruiting ranking a player had attached to him before his arrival at Notre Dame — there are probably some things I really like about him. So over the course of the next few months, let’s take a positive approach to running down the roster.
Almost daily (just being honest) I’ll list three things I like about a single player on the roster, and as an additional bonus, I’ll post some extra pics over on the OFD Instagram account (be sure to follow RIGHT HERE).

#4 Jeremiyah Love — Running Back
The 6’0” 210 pound junior from Christian Brothers High School in St. Louis, Missouri, was one of the most dynamic recruits in the 2023 class, and the Irish fought off the wolves for a long time to gain his services. After seeing glimpses of Love’s explosiveness and athleticism as a freshman, he ascended in 2024 as one of the best running backs in the country — and a true Heisman contender in 2025.
Here are three things l like about Jeremiyah Love:
1. An incredible marketing plan.
When you saw it the first time, you probably thought, “hey that’s pretty clever.” After like the 10th time — you knew this man had a marketing plan. Jeremiyah’s use of the heart shape, whether that be with his hands or arms, is one of the best signature moves in all of sports.
2. Nostalgic Vibes Plus.
I said it while the Irish were recruiting Love, and many people have said it since (not because I said it, but because it’s probably true)… Jeremiyah Love is the closest thing to Ricky Watters since Ricky Watters. When Love took #12 as a freshman, it only made sense. Despite trading in the #12 for the #4, Love showed the same level of speed, power, and absurd athleticism that Ricky put on display during his time in South Bend.
No word yet, however, on if Love like to walk around the halls in his birthday suit.
3. A tool for victory.
Jeremiyah Love is the best running back in college football. So much of what the Irish want to do in 2025 in terms of team goals, will be placed on the shoulders of Love — a back that has yet to carry the football more than 16 times in a game during his career at Notre Dame. Still… Love’s ability to be AMAZING is an incredible tool to have to help win a lot of football games.
