Nebraska sent four participants to the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Let’s dive into how each Husker performed at the event.
Ty Robinson
On the Pat McAfee Show, Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule described Robinson as a “blue collar athlete that is tough and hard nosed.” He definitely displayed these qualities throughout his career as a Blackshirt. However, the 288 pounder would break out on the national scene during the Senior Bowl. During that event, he was able to use his frame to distract Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel. He also helped to generate a tackle for loss. The only thing that NFL scouts weren’t sure of is his speed. The former defensive tackle put these concerns to rest. On his first attempt at the 40-yard dash, Robinson was able to record a 4.83. This time is significant because it went down as the fastest among all defensive linemen. Only former Husker Kahlil Davis had the better time of 4.75. This performance still puts him in elite company. Robinson’s speed will allow him to make money and elevate his draft stock. But by how much? He was billed as a fourth-round selection by the Indianapolis Colts in early February.
Nebraska DT Ty Robinson ran an official 4.83 forty while reaching a top speed of 20.64 mph, both the fastest marks among defensive tackles.
His speed at 10 yards (16.98 mph) is the fourth-fastest by a DT over the last three years.

Thomas Fidone
The former starter at tight end represented Nebraska well at the NFL Combine. This began for Fidone in the 40-yard dash. He had an official time of 4.70 seconds. According to 247Sports, this time put Fidone at “fourth among tight ends at Indianapolis.” However, the Council Bluffs native didn’t stop there. Fidone’s broad jump also surpassed the average at 10 feet and six inches. These types of measurements allowed Fidone to become a top player at the event. The only concern is that he hasn’t had his big moment. It looks like that could be coming rather soon. His dash time was posted on the New York Jets social media page. It will be interesting to see if head coach Aaron Glenn plans to pick him in the early rounds.

Tommi Hill
Nebraska’s former starting cornerback didn’t run in the 40-yard dash. We also didn’t see his vertical or broad jump. His lack of measurements will have a negative effect on his draft stock. However, he still managed to have an informal meeting with the San Francisco 49ers. This is likely because of his performance against the Colorado Buffaloes. During this matchup, Hill was able to make a strong statement to the rest of the Big Ten. Early in the first quarter, he picked off Shedeur Sanders. This led to Travis Hunter only being allowed 110 receiving yards. Will his performance against the Heisman winner make the NFL more inclined to draft him? Or will his lack of Combine stats hold him back?
Isaiah Neyor
On the last day of the NFL Combine, the former Husker wideout put on a show. In the 40-yard dash, Neyor was able to post an official time of 4.40 seconds. It’s even more impressive that he did it at 218 pounds. This puts him in elite company. Only current Bills wide receiver Chase Claypool and Pro Bowler DK Metcalf have similar times. In addition, the former Wyoming Cowboy also wowed scouts with his broad jump of 11 inches and a vertical of 38 inches. It’s easy to say that Neyor’s stock will shoot up. But the fastest player at the Senior Bowl won’t be taken in the first round. His ACL injury in 2022 hampered his production in Lincoln.
