Back to the House Rock Built
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are 2-1 and ranked #17 in the country after beating the brakes off of the Purdue Boilermakers last week. On Saturday, the Irish will have a much stiffer test as they welcome the Miami Redhawks from the MAC.
Yes… stiffer than the Boilermakers.
It’s Friday — let’s get into it.
WHAT SHOULD YOU BE EATING?
Consider this a preemptive strike. You should be eating hot dogs — but you should also know all of the ins and outs of how a hot dog machine works just in case something goes terribly wrong. If you know — you know.
WHAT SHOULD YOU BE DRINKING?
There’s no way around it. The season is already strange, so you might as well make the season stranger on Saturday (not worse).
FUN STATS
I know… I know… you want Riley Leonard to pass the ball better. But how about THIS slapped upside your head?
QB Riley Leonard rushed for 100 yards, three touchdowns and passed for 112 yards in the first half vs. Purdue, becoming the first FBS player to reach those three first-half milestones since Lamar Jackson at Syracuse on September 9, 2016.
FUN ODDS
Notre Dame is a 27.5 point favorite over Miami with an over/under of 44.5.
Those are the EXACT same odds as the Irish had against NIU.
FUN PODCASTS
Yep — we have a few.
FUN PREDICTION
This isn’t going to be another NIU game, but it’s not going to be Purdue either. Marcus Freeman, Riley Leonard, and Mike Denbrock all need continued redemption though — so if they get it rolling, I don’t expect any kind of let up. Miami can’t run the ball and can’t stop the run either. Look for more ground and pound from the Irish and multiple quarterbacks played. Irish 52 – Miami 6.
