Grim
In a season that has already seen a handful of front line Notre Dame football players go out for the season due to injuries, here comes another one. Cornerback Benjamin Morrison will miss the rest of the 2024 season because of a hip injury.
The All-American defensive back struggled with a shoulder injury during most of the offseason, and now he gets hit with this.
Fortunately for Notre Dame, freshman Leonard Moore has been thrown to the wolves early this season, and has looked really good in the opportunities given to him. Of course… this still really sucks. Notre Dame’s secondary is probably the biggest strength on the team, and as they push toward a possible playoff berth (as well as the playoff itself) not having your All-American shutdown cornerback isn’t an ideal situation.
Any speculation about Morrison’s future with Notre Dame or the NFL Draft is merely speculation at this point, and I don’t even want to talk about it.
Morrison is still on the current depth chart, but I will update when we have more information to give.
