The transfer portal is open and Notre Dame players are running to to it, and a way from South Bend and Micah Shrewsberry. The latest addition to the transfer portal is senior forward, JR Konieczny.
.@NDmbb guard J.R. Konieczny has entered the transfer portal, per @RivalsPortal and @insideNDsports. Konieczny has one season of eligibility remaining after averaging 4.3 points per game as a senior. https://t.co/B0uzxRHu05

JR Konieczny has started 23 games for the Irish and averaged 4.3 points per game last season.
The transfer portal is a way of life now in NCAA sports, and with the current rules in place, we have seen herds and herds of transfers each year for a multitude of different reasons. While it’s unclear how many more Notre Dame players will transfer out, it’s all but guaranteed that the Irish dip into the portal to pull out a player or two (or three) to add to the roster.
