Let it Out, Let it Out. I Promise you will Feel Better
How’d We Do Last Week?
As a refresher, I feature the most interesting, most wildly inaccurate, and most accurate takes for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish from the previous week. Let’s get started!
Most Wild Inaccurate
Hand up. It was every single one of us. We all sucked in our predictions as much as Notre Dame sucked on the field. I said they would start slow, but predicted they would pick it up. Outside of Jeremiyah love and some sparks from some defenders, it was truly one of the most painful games I’ve ever watched. Gross. Yuck. Ew.
Most Interesting
Mac and Cheese is comfort food, we could all use some comfort food this week.
Most Accurate
BCBEATSnd93
Our new friend has sparked discussions on the board and he can absolutely come in and gloat, shit talk, and anything else he wants this week. He called us out, we did very poorly, and his BC Eagles look like a better team than the Irish right now. I call it how I see it and it pains me, but hat tip this man. We welcome him on our board any time!
Also, shout out Peeudodomer for this. Pains me to even include but kudos.
And now onto the takes for this week’s matchup between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Purdue Boilermakers. I am making these VERY PESSIMISTIC because sometimes I just need to let my hate out. I encourage you do to the same. I also lost in the finals of my school wide spelling bee as a sixth grader on the word “pessimistic” so this is truly full of hate.
Cold Take
Riley Leonard once again starts the game very inaccurate and throws for under 60 yards in the first half. He then gets benched for Angeli as we all boo from our couches.
Serious question….Is Leonard banged up? He seemed to injure his side/shoulder on his left arm. After he got shaken up, he barely ran and was completely ineffective as a passer. I think they give Leonard the first half, but if he is not effective as a thrower and is not being used as a runner…..they yank him for Angeli. Is that the answer? I don’t really think so but anything is better than what we saw from Leonard on Saturday
Hot Take
Ok, I got that hate out of the way. But this is still pretty Pessimistic….Notre Dame DOUBLES it’s passing touchdown ALL IN ONE HALF.
As mentioned, I think Leonard gets yanked in the first half. Angeli will likely come in and be much more effective as a passer, focusing on short to intermediate routes. Mitchell Evans got more involved last week and will likely be called upon in the second half a lot as this will be a nail biter. Evans gets the first receiving TD of the year for the Irish followed up by another from either Greathouse or Collins. Sad to say that 2 TDs will double the output we’ve had so far, but that is unfortunately where we are.
Your Takes: Please leave your takes below (hot, cold medium-any temp). I will feature the Top Takes next week. GO IRISH!
