Legends Trophy time
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are all set to take on the Stanford Cardinal. Notre Dame is trying to stay in the playoff race as it looks like if they win out — they’ll host a game, whereas any loss will likely knock them out.
But that’s the big picture. Small picture, is a struggling Stanford squad comes to Notre Dame to try and be the assholes of old. Arguments can be made about whether this game is an actual rivalry or not, but being assholes for assholes sake is definitley rivalry behavior.
Speaking of the “rivalry”… I’m glad everyone has got aboard the rivalry trophy train that we pushed down the tracks for the past two decades.
