It’s the semifinals of the college football playoff in the Orange Bowl, and Notre Dame will face the Penn State Nittany Lions. The Irish took down the Indiana Hoosiers in the first round, and then the Georgia Bulldogs in the Sugar Bowl to get here. Penn State beat the SMU Mustangs in the forst round and then the Boise State Broncos in the Fiesta Bowl to get here. Both teams earned every bit of this right — and no opinion one way or another can legitimately say otherwise.

Notre Dame, for example, is still being doubted, and some out there aren’t very impressed with Notre Dame’s win over Georgia. The Irish won the Sugar Bowl doing what they do best… playing winning football and doing whatever it takes. Despite massive losses due to injury; the Irish grind the ball out on the ground, play aggressively on defense — and man did they have a fantastic special teams game.

They’re different, and people need to start accepting that fact.
