Northwestern basketball has grabbed its second-highest rated recruit in school history. Tre Singleton, the 6-foot-8 power forward from Jeffersonville (IN), made his announcement to join the Wildcats on Wednesday.
“I chose Northwestern because I believe coach [Chris] Collins and the rest of the staff can help me develop into the player I want to be on and off the court,” Singleton told ZAGSBLOG.
Singleton joins two other commits in the 2025 class: three-star shooting guard Phoenix Gill and three-star big man Tyler Kropp. He is the No. 72 overall prospect in the 2025 class. Robbie Beran (No. 59 from 2021) is the only prospect Northwestern to commit to Northwestern ranked higher than Singleton since 247Sports’ rankings started in 2010.
Per On3’s rankings, Singleton is Northwestern’s highest rated commit to ever choose the Wildcats.
“It’s nice to hold the spot for now but I know for a fact we will bring in higher rated recruits in the future!” Singleton said.
