The ‘Cats look to improve to 5-1 against a 1-3 Pepperdine side.
After back-to-back close finishes against Eastern Illinois and Montana State, Northwestern will face a 1-3 Pepperdine team tonight that has lost its last three by 18 points or more. Brooks Barnhizer has shed the questionable designation and is a full go tonight after opening his season on Tuesday against Montana State. Barnhizer and Nick Martinelli combined for 42 of Northwestern’s 72 points in that one, and Northwestern’s new big two will be expected to do more of the same tonight against a Pepperdine defense that has given up 80 points or more in its last three games.
