Northwestern has decided on its next full-time head football coach.
Per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, interim coach David Braun is going to be getting the job. He’s won five games this season and has the program one win away from bowl eligibility.

Braun took over the program before the season started after Pat Fitzgerald got fired.
Since then, he’s done an admirable job with a team that only won one game last year. Two of his five wins have come against Maryland and Wisconsin, who have a combined 11 wins this year.
Northwestern is also 3-4 in conference play this season, which is tied for second in the West Division.
All Northwestern has to do is beat one of Purdue or Illinois and the program will be in a bowl game.
Kickoff for the Purdue contest on Saturday will be at Noon ET.
