The 2023 NFL Draft is just one month away, and we now know what gear the new rookies will don on the stage.
New Era released designs for all 32 teams’ official Draft hats on Monday. It has become a tradition of the three-night event for selected players to sport the hat of their new teams ceremoniously. Fans can buy theirs now at NFLShop.com, Fanatics, and most major sporting goods sites.
After last year’s hat designs fell flat for Chicago, primarily due to a black color scheme that clashed with the Bears’ navy, fans should rejoice at this year’s options. The 2023 hats feature large, bold, all-caps font spelling “BEARS” with the iconic bear head logo featured within the middle letters.
Options include all navy or stone-grey panels with a navy brim. Both color schemes come in New Era’s 39THIRTY Flex, 59FIFTY Fitted (flat bill or low profile), and 9FORTY Adjustable (flat or curved bill).
Compared to years past, New Era seems to be stepping up its game. Last year’s official sideline caps were among the best designs the company produced since it acquired exclusive rights to the NFL’s headwear apparel in 2012.
While your hat should ship in one day, it will take 31 to find out who the Bears will take on the first night. With serious needs on the offensive line, many experts predict General Manager Ryan Poles will select Ohio State tackle Paris Johnson Jr. or Northwestern’s Peter Skoronski.
So far, pending any additional trades, the Chicago Bears will hand out hats to players at the following picks:
- Round 1, Pick 9
- Round 2, Pick 53
- Round 2, Pick 61
- Round 3, Pick 64
- Round 4, Pick 103
- Round 4, Pick 133
- Round 5, Pick 136
- Round 5, Pick 148
- Round 7, Pick 218
- Round 7, Pick 258
