What a week to play the Packers.
Good morning, folks.
Three weeks ago, the Chicago Bears were entering a bye week at 4-2 and heading into a three game set that represented the easiest stretch of the schedule before the Bears’ first divisional game of the year.
Three weeks later, the Bears are on a three-game losing streak, have fired their offensive coordinator, cut an offensive lineman, fielded a shadow of a quarterback controversy, and oh by the way, now they face the Green Bay Packers.
Isn’t it great, folks?
Thomas Brown makes his Bears’ OC debut amidst the firing of Shane Waldron and faces the task of getting players into the best positions to succeed, as well as just getting the offense into some kind of rhythm much earlier.
It’s a first- and last-ditch effort to make something of the rest of the season. The Bears have the entire division schedule ahead to get themselves back into the playoff picture, and if they have any designs of saving Matt Eberflus’ job, the Navy and Orange will get right on that starting this week by starting fast and scoring often.
It’s been a rough week. Here’s hoping we at least have something positive at the end of it. Bear Down, my friends.
Today’s WCG Sunday Livestream is taking the next two weeks off for holiday plans, but they left us no shortage of topics to chat about today.
Of course, if you want to get in on the conversation, here’s how you do that:
