Who you taking in tonight’s game?
As fans, we’ve had some decent luck with Thursday Night games this season, and tonight looks to be another fantastic matchup. The (7-2) NFC East-leading Philadelphia Eagles host the (7-3) Washington Commanders at 7:15 p.m. CT on Amazon Prime.
Our partners at FanDuel Sportsbook have Philly as a 3.5-point favorite over the surprising Commanders, with the over/under at 48.5. The Commanders are led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, who just had his worst game as a pro last week against the Steelers’ tough defense, and he’ll face another top-ten D from Vic Fangio’s Eagles.
Since their bye, Philadelphia has won five straight, and their defense has allowed an average of just 200.8 yards per game and 11 points. Linebacker Zack Baun has been a tackling machine, and defensive tackle Jalen Carter has been impactful up front.
Washington’s defense will have trouble slowing down running back Saquon Barkley, who is averaging nearly 6 yards a carry, and quarterback Jalen Hurts, who has recorded a passer rating north of 115.0 in each of the last five games.
I’m taking the Eagles to win and giving the points, and I like the over as well.
