One of the six people hurt in a weekend car accident in North Chicago has died, the Lake County Coroner’s Office said Tuesday.
Giovanni Robinson, 24, previously of Merrillville, Indiana but a recent resident of North Chicago, died of blunt force injuries, the coroner’s office said.
North Chicago police were called to the 1400 block of Grove Avenue at around 8:10 p.m. Sunday after receiving reports of an accident. Police and firefighters found two SUVs that had crashed.
Six people were hurt, including two critically, authorities said. Robinson was brought to a hospital, but died Monday from his injuries, the coroner’s office said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
