General Manager Ryan Poles will lead the process, but we have a list of the other individuals who could be involved.
The top three individuals running the Chicago Bears — Chairman George McCaskey, President and CEO Kevin Warren, and General Manager Ryan Poles — met with the media today. They discussed various topics, but the ongoing search for a new head coach was front and center.
Poles will lead the search, but here are the names of those who will be involved in the interview process.
Ryan Poles, GM
Kevin Warren, President and CEO
George McCaskey, Chairman
Ted Crews, Special Advisor to the President/CEO & Chief Administrative Officer
Jeff King, Senior Director of Player Personnel
Matt Feinstein, Director of Football Administration
Liz Geist, EVP of People and Culture & Chief Human Resources Officer
Karen Murphy, EVP of Stadium Development & Chief Operating Officer
Assistant General Manager Ian Cunningham will be allowed to focus on possible general manager jobs with other franchises, but if nothing materializes, he’ll also be involved in the Bears’ interview process.
Before coming to Chicago in 2024, Crews was with the Chiefs for twelve years and was involved in the interview process that led them to Andy Reid.
Also, it was mentioned that a few other Executive Vice Presidents and Senior Vice Presidents could be involved in the process.
While this is a lengthy list, it’s unknown how many will actually be on the virtual calls or in the room for in-person meetings.
As for the possibility of another consultant being hired, George said that Bill Polian would only be involved if Poles wanted him to be.
