The Titans choose Borgonzi, which means Cunningham will remain with the Bears.
Ian Cunningham will remain with the Chicago Bears for the 2025 season.
Cunningham has received multiple interviews for general manager positions over the last few years, but he has yet to be hired into a general manager role.
This year, Cunningham interviewed for the Tennessee Titans General Manager position and was one of their six finalists for the position.
Today, the Titans announced their hire, and it was not Ian Cunningham.

The Titans have hired Kansas City Chiefs Assistant General Manager Mike Borgonzi, so unless another opportunity opens late, Cunningham will remain in Chicago. Bears fans were split on Cunningham. Some of them wanted him to stay with the Bears’ front office and help Ryan Poles moving forward building the team. Others were hoping that Cunningham would be hired away from Chicago, which, if that happens, the Bears would receive two additional third-round picks over the next two drafts.
While Cunningham may still become an NFL General Manager, it won’t be this year, so Cunningham will turn his attention to the coaching search and focus on the Bears 2025 offseason.
