The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs are set to battle in Super Bowl LVIII, where Brock Purdy and the 49ers are looking to keep Patrick Mahomes from winning his third Super Bowl title in five years.

This is a rematch of Super Bowl LIV, where Mahomes won his first Super Bowl in his second year as a starter. The Chiefs defeated the 49ers, 31-10, where Mahomes led Kansas City to three touchdowns and 21 unanswered points in the final six minutes of the game.

While the Chiefs got off to a slow start this season, Mahomes is just built different in the postseason. They cruised to playoff wins against the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens. Meanwhile, it’ll be up to Nick Bosa and San Francisco’s defense to keep Mahomes in check and Purdy, Christian McCaffrey and co. to keep the 49ers in the game. The 49ers snuck out a couple of close games against the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions to make it to their second Super Bowl in five years.

Before Sunday’s big game, our Bears Wire staff are sharing their game picks for Super Bowl LVIII:
