CHICAGO (WGN) — The Chicago Bears have agreed on a contract extension with corner Kyler Gordon, making him one of the game’s highest-paid corners and keeping him in Chicago for the foreseeable future.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bears and Gordon have agreed to a three-year, $40 million contract extension with $31.25 million in guaranteed money.
The deal exceeds the three-year, $30 million contract signed by the Indianapolis Colts’ Kenny Moore II in March 2024, making Gordon the highest-paid slot corner in the NFL
Once official, the deal will keep Gordon in Chicago blue and orange for at least the next four seasons.
Gordon finished 2024 as Pro Football Focus’ 20th-ranked corner overall. The former Washington Huskie graded out as PFF’s 19th-best cover corner, while also earning their 32nd-best run defense grade among corners last season. Gordon accounted for 53 solo tackles—good for 30th among corners—and nine QB pressures, which was the second-most among corners in the NFL.
The Bears’ offseason workout program started last Monday, April 7. Voluntary minicamp kicks off from April 21-23, while offseason OTAs take place on May 20-22, 27-30 and June 9-11 with mandatory minicamp scheduled for June 3-5.
