Tracking team health throughout the entire NFL by tracking the big plays!
Welcome to Week 12 of Toxic Differential Plus.

Explosive Play Differential + 2(Turnover Differential) + Sack Differential = Toxic Differential Plus
The Kansas City Chiefs are driving me bananas. Let me be clear, I’m mostly just interested in tracking this stat to see where it goes, I don’t hold any delusions that it’s perfect, but the Chiefs continue to defy the math at every step. Yet another week with a win despite losing the Toxic Differential Plus by 4 to the Carolina Panthers. The Chiefs are now -14 on the year but with an outstanding 10-1 record. Cool.
The Baltimore Ravens moved back into the top 5 with their big win in the Harbaugh Bowl. The Ravens and the Buffalo Bills remain the biggest threats to knock the Chiefs off their post when the postseason rolls around. I think there’s some correction coming for Mahomes and company (famous last words).
At the bottom of the standings, the Raiders take over the cellar as the Browns shined in the snow on Thursday Night Football. That was a “fun” game if you like shots of heavy snow covering beards and fans acting crazy in the stands. The Browns are still 31st overall, but it’s nice to not be last. Titans, Patriots, and Jaguars round out the bottom five.
The San Francisco 49ers are running out of time. They’re looking like a team that just can’t put together enough wins for a playoff berth but rank high in the stat. That usually happens to about two teams per year looking at the history. Somebody has to win the NFC West and TD+ likes the 49ers and Cardinals better than the Rams or Seahawks.
