The NFL Combine presents an opportunity for teams across the league to see a player’s athleticism and get to know them on a more personal level. For the Chicago Bears, this draft presents a unique opportunity. With three picks inside the top 50, they have a chance to draft impact players who could become cornerstone players. With that, here are some impressive prospects who should be on the Bears’ draft radar.
NFL Combine Stars Who Should Be on the Bears’ Draft Radar
Offensive Line: Armand Membou, Jared Wilson, Tate Ratledge, & Eli Cox
You could put your hand in a bucket with the names of all the offensive linemen and whichever name you picked likely was a standout at the Combine. It was hard to choose, but four guys in particular fit what the Bears want.
Armand Membou was a star at the Combine finishing second among OL with a 4.91-second 40-yard dash, 34.00″ vertical (3rd), and first with a 9’7″ broad jump. He’s shot himself up into top-ten consideration, and he could plug in at right guard and form one of the most athletic offensive line duos in the league with Darnell Wright.
If having a mullet automatically makes you become a better offensive lineman, then Tate Ratledge has a secret weapon because he showed out at the combine. Posting an impressive 9.98 Relative Athletic Score (RAS), Ratledge was one of the more impressive linemen who made a strong case to be an early Day Two pick. Where the Bears happen to have not one, but two second-round picks at 39 and 41.
Jared Wilson put the NFL world on notice with a blazing 4.84-second 40-yard dash and finished with a 9.97 RAS score, ranking third out of 626 centers. If he falls to the Bears in the third round, they should be running to the podium with his name.
Enough about the early draft options. Bears fans should keep an eye on Eli Cox in the later rounds. He posted the same RAS as Wilson and was a standout leader at Kentucky. He could develop and eventually become the center of the future in Chicago.
Running Back: Quinshon Judkins & Bhayshul Tuten
Quinshon Judkins would be the perfect 1-2 punch with D’Andre Swift in the backfield, and he proved during the Combine he has the athleticism to back up his impressive 5’11” and 221 pound frame. He finished the day with a 4.48-second 40-yard dash, 11’0″ broad jump, and a 38.5″ vertical. Insanely impressive for someone at 221 pounds. A potential second-round target for the Bears.
No running back rose their stock more than Virginia Tech’s Bhayshul Tuten. Finishing first among RBs with a 4.32-second 40-yard dash and 40.5″ vertical jump, Tuten showcased his pure athleticism. He runs like a tank and would be a huge addition for the Bears.

Edge Rusher: Shemar Stewart & James Pearce Jr.
The ultimate traits vs. production prospect, Shemar Stewart put on an absolute show at the Combine. Finishing with a 10.0 RAS, his 40-inch vertical jump and 10’11” broad jump definitely raised some eyebrows. However, he only had 1.5 sacks each of the past three seasons at Texas A&M, so it’s tricky to tell whether he’ll become Myles Garrett 2.0 or a draft bust.
James Pearce Jr. showcased his fluidity and quickness with a 4.47-second 40-yard dash. He looked fantastic during drills, especially with a 1.56-second 10-yard split. He had one of the highest win rates in college football but doesn’t showcase the bend and skillset most pass rushers possess.
Defensive Tackle: Alfred Collins & Darius Alexander
At 6’5″ and 332 pounds, Alfred Collins showcased his 10″ hands and massive 35″ arms. An elite run stopper, Collins was smooth during the Combine and raised his draft stock. He should be a serious consideration for the Bears in the second round.
His draft stock has been rising ever since the Senior Bowl, but Darius Alexander continues to impress. He stood out in virtually every drill and his 9.72 RAS score was just outside the top 50 DTs since 1987. He’s a name to watch for the Bears in Day Two.

Safety: Nick Emmanwori & Marques Sigle
With another impressive 10.0 RAS score, Nick Emmanwori was on a different level at the Combine. A 4.38-second 40-yard dash at 6’3″ and 220 pounds is ridiculous. Not to mention his 43″ vertical jump and 11’6″ broad jump, he could be Kevin Byard’s replacement and form a dynamic duo with Jaquan Brisker.
Marques Sigle turned heads with a blazing 4.37-second 40-yard dash. He performed among the top safeties in every category, and the projected Day Three pick could be a solid addition for the Bears.
