Taylor Doll with the inside scoop on Ben Johnson’s time with the Detroit Lions from Pride of Detroit’s Jeremy Reisman.
Her planned Making Monsters podcast series about Chicago Bears head coach candidates only got up to one show before the Bears shocked everyone and hired Ben Johnson on Monday afternoon. So, on this episode, Taylor Doll quickly pivoted and brought on the Editor In Chief at Pride of Detroit, Jeremy Reisman, to give us the 411 on the former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator.
Jeremy has been on the Lions’ beat for the entirety of Johnson’s time with the Lions, so he watched as Ben went from offensive quality control coach in 2019, to tight ends coach, to passing game coordinator, and then offensive coordinator the last three seasons.
They talk about what Johnson has meant to the players in their locker room, his scheme, his development of Jared Goff, where he sees Johnson taking the Bears, and so much more.
It’s a fascinating look at the Bears’ new head coach, so you do not want to miss it!
