He’s still growing as a professional. He’s still having ups and downs. He still misses some passes and takes bad sacks. But Caleb Williams is also doing things we’ve never seen a rookie quarterback do in Chicago, and he’s flirting with some NFL rookie records as well.
His highlight reel in just eleven games is magical. He’s shown the clutch gene, even if the team’s record doesn’t reflect that.
There wasn’t a doubt in my mind that Caleb would finally solve the Bears’ QB woes back when it was evident he’d be the pick, and nothing I’ve seen thus far has made me waver.
He’s checked all the boxes you want from a franchise quarterback, and I couldn’t be more excited for 2025.
But this year… (smh), the Matt Eberflus experience is the failure I feared it would be when the franchise didn’t line it up.
I’m just hoping the players can remain focused and plow ahead as a team despite the clusterflus around them.
