The Chicago Bears have made several moves in free agency through the first couple of weeks, where they’ve added several starters and other depth pieces.
General manager Ryan Poles made a concerted effort to further improve the offense for incoming rookie Caleb Williams (most likely). That included the additions of wide receiver Keenan Allen, running back D’Andre Swift, tight end Gerald Everett and offensive linemen Coleman Shelton and Ryan Bates to pair with playmakers already on the roster. On defense, Chicago added safeties Kevin Byard and Jonathan Owens, along with linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga and some defensive end depth.
