The Geneva Police Department is investigating a string of car break-ins that happened overnight Wednesday in the Fisher Farms subdivision on the city’s west side, officials announced Thursday morning.
At least seven cars were burglarized, according to a news release on the city’s website. However, law enforcement officials said in the release that they believe more cars may have been burglarized, and that the matter remains under investigation.
Officials urged Fisher Farms residents who have discovered items missing from their cars to report the incident to the Geneva Police Department by calling 630-232-4736.
Police also asked subdivision residents to report any suspicious activity that may have been captured by their video doorbell cameras after 11 p.m. Oct. 9.
More information is expected to be released Thursday afternoon, according to the release.
