CHICAGO – Bears fans can see a familiar face if they walk past the Big Star in West Town.
Facebook helped welcome rookie Rome Odunze to Chicago with a new Mauricio Ramirez mural.
“I’m super honored, super blessed – honestly,” remarked Odunze at the unveiling Monday night. “Being a part of the Chicago landscape is super special to me, continuing to make my mark. I think I’ll be able to continue to make my mark on the field. Having the support out here is awesome. Shout out to Mauricio for making this mural and Facebook as a whole.”
The event also included recommendations on restaurants and shops from Facebook users for Odunze as new resident of the Windy City.
“I have yet to find all the food spots out here,” Odunze explained. “I’m looking forward to all those different things and of course playing ball over there at Soldier Field with my teammates, winning games and doing something big.”
Odunze will get his first taste of playing in front of his home crowd Saturday, when the Bears host the Bengals on the lakefront.
