Looking to line your pockets on Thanksgiving with green? Consider these player props and perhaps you will.
The Chicago Bears keep losing football games, but if you’ve been following our player props, you’ve been winning money! Our player props are now 20-10 on the year and we look to continue to red-hot selections with three more props to consider for the Bears Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Detroit Lions. Odds courtesy of FanDuel.
Jared Goff OVER 246.5 Passing Yards -113
This seems like a number that was set for two reasons. Either they expect the Lions to jump out to such a huge halftime lead that they run it the entire second half or they still think the Bears have a good passing defense, which they have not shown the last few weeks. If you look at the Lions have 8 games and eliminate the Titans game where the Lions basically started every drive in Titans’ territory and Goff only threw for 85 yards, he’s been averaging 279 passing yards per game. Even with the 85-yard effort, he’s still at 255 yards a game over that stretch. Meanwhile, the last two weeks the Bears defense allowed 330 yards to Sam Darnold, and 261 to Jordan Love, and their pass rush has been anemic. If the Bears give Goff time to throw, he’s going to pick them apart. This seems like a day where Goff pushes for 300 yards.
David Montgomery OVER 50.5 Rushing Yards -113
I think Dan Campbell is cognizant of revenge games and what players’ individual goals might be underneath the ultimate goal of winning each week. Montgomery averaged over 70 rushing yards per game against Chicago last year and last year’s Bears’ run defense was good. Jahmyr Gibbs is the better back, Montgomery is a little banged up and has only gone north of 50 rushing yards in 5 of his 11 games this season, but I think the Lions’ offense controls the Bears’ defense and Campbell gives Montgomery a little heavier dose of the pill than usual.
Caleb Williams OVER 227.5 Passing Yards -113
You didn’t think I’d quit the kid over last week’s phenomenal performance, did you? The Lions have a good defense, but they do give up some yards against better QBs. Do you think Caleb is becoming a “better” QB? If you do, you should consider this one. I also think the Lions control the game and keep a comfortable lead and I think the Bears struggle rushing the football again which should open the door for the Bears to rely more on the pass than the run again. I think Williams is up near 250 yards or more on Thanksgiving.
