Breaking down PFF’s highest-graded Bears from Sunday’s Week 11 matchup.
Chicago Bears football is back, and with it comes the return of PFF grades.
Pro Football Focus has been an industry leader in football analytics since 2006, and with the new season coming into play, we figured it would be a good idea to highlight some of the top performers on both sides of the ball in each Bears game going forward.
The Bears dropped their fourth contest in a row on Sunday, losing to the Packers in a 20-19 heartbreaker that came down to the very last second. Though the result was the same as the previous three matchups, the play was markedly better, particularly on the offensive side of the ball. The switch from Shane Waldron to Thomas Brown at offensive coordinator gave the offense a bit of a spark, but it ultimately wasn’t enough to overcome a few minor mistakes and a blocked field goal.
Here are the top 5 performers from all three phases in the Bears’ loss on Sunday.
Offense
- QB Caleb Williams (85.2)
- LT Braxton Jones (82.0)
- WR Rome Odunze (76.2)
- C Coleman Shelton (73.7)
- RG Ryan Bates (72.6)
This marks the second-best performance Williams has had so far in the 2024 season. His best grade came against the Jaguars in Week 6, when he tallied an 87.9 grade. For additional reference, the Bears had nine players who scored better than D’Andre Swift’s 67.4 from last week, which was their second-highest grade on the offense against the Patriots.
Defense
- NCB Josh Blackwell (79.8)
- CB Terell Smith (77.7)
- DT Zacch Pickens (75.1)
- RE DeMarcus Walker (70.9)
- FS Jonathan Owens (70.8)
Special teams
- DE Daniel Hardy (76.4)
- LB Noah Sewell (70.2)
- RB Travis Homer (68.7)
- NCB Josh Blackwell (64.2)
- LS Scott Daly (63.6)
