All it took was ten straight losses for our fans to hit a season-low in confidence in our Chicago Bears, but with the (11-5) Green Bay Packers waiting on Sunday, it might drop even lower. Our partners at FanDuel Sportsbook have the Packers favored by 10.5 points, and even though they have a playoff spot locked up, they’ve already announced they plan to play their starters.
Week 18 could get ugly in Lambeau for the Bears.
Beating Chicago won’t ensure a move up to the sixth seed to avoid the second-seeded Eagles, but the Packers want to keep momentum for whoever they play next week.
“We’re playing to win. We always play to win games. So I don’t see our approach changing,” Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur said. “I think there’s value to going out there and playing and playing well.”
The odds may be against the Bears, but when these two teams met earlier this season, it took a blocked last-second field goal for the Packers to come away with the win.
Chicago has an opportunity to break their ten-game losing streak, get their first win against the Packers since 2018, and their first win in Green Bay since 2015.
We’ll revisit the confidence survey after Sunday’s game and again once the Bears hire a new head coach.
