Earlier today, the Big Ten Network’s social media team sent out a clip showing Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams sitting courtside at the Wisconsin Badgers vs. USC Trojans basketball game, and Bears fans freaked out at what they saw.

Yes, that is Caleb is sporting a fresh new haircut.
Oh, and a cast on his right (throwing) hand.
The Bears have yet to acknowledge the issue officially, but the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that WIlliams had a cyst removed, saying, “It’s minor, he’s fine.”
A quick Google search tells me that a cyst removal truly is not a big deal, and the recovery time is about a week or two. All Williams needs to do is take it easy with no strenuous activity.
So, nothing to see here. No lingering effects are expected from the minor procedure, so Bears fans can go back to freaking out about the head coaching search.
