The Chicago Bears defense had a strong finish to the 2023 season, where they were among the league’s best in the final stretch. The addition of defensive end Montez Sweat helped elevate the group, and the Bears are looking to establish itself as a top-10 unit in 2024.
The defensive line is the biggest question mark along Chicago’s defense, especially along the interior following Justin Jones’ departure in free agency. While Andrew Billings established himself as a dominant run stuffer in his first season with the Bears, second-year pro Gervon Dexter needs to take a step forward at three-technique, in place of Jones, if this defense can be elite.
