Following signing with the Chicago Bulls, Pat Bev was poised to knock the Lakers out of the playoffs. While it looks like the Lakers will at least make the play-in tournament, Patrick Beverley will not make it easy.
The Chicago Bulls absolutely controlled the game from start to finish on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles. Despite the late announcement of Lebron James returning to action, the Bulls were unfazed in getting the job done. Lebron James would come off the bench for just the second time in his career, playing 30 minutes in his return.
The Bulls had multiple 20-point leads throughout the game. While the Lakers sometimes went on runs to cut the lead down, they could never control the game long enough. Despite a first-half ejection of Nikola Vucevic, who logged just 15 minutes, the Bulls comfortably held onto the lead. Zach LaVine would score 32 points shooting 68% from the field, continuing his great post-all-star break performances.
As the game ended, Pat Bev had plenty of antics, including telling Lebron that he’s too small and gesturing to Shannon Sharpe that the Lakers stink.
Undoubtedly, this was a fun victory, but the Bulls must stay focused on the task ahead. The team will remain in Los Angeles as they take on the Clippers late tonight and return to Chicago to take on the Lakers again on Wednesday night. The Bulls currently sit just half a game from the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference, meaning a victory tonight bumps the Bulls up from the 10th to the 8th spot.
