A severe knee injury has put the entire playing career of Chicago Bulls star Lonzo Ball in jeopardy. But after several surgeries, will his body let him?
Speaking to reporters at Bulls media day, Ball made it clear that his intention is to play again. He said that since getting his third knee surgery everything’s been going well and he’s just going to keep working on recovering.
“I definitely plan on playing again,” Ball said, via ESPN. “After surgery three, I feel like it’s going well so far — no setbacks. So for me, it’s just keep my head up, just keep doing the work.”
Ball asserted that he still has plenty of time to mount a career comeback and is staying positive while he waits for his body to heal.
“I couldn’t control getting hurt or not getting hurt or anything like that,” he said. “It’s just something that happened to me, part of my career.
“I try to stay positive. I don’t look at the negatives. I try to think about what I can do to get better and that’s how I wake up every day and live.”

Lonzo Ball signed a four-year, $80 million contract with the Bulls in 2021 but played just 35 games for them before suffering his injury.
We all hope that he makes it back to full health soon.
