Giannis Antetokounmpo has been one of the best players in the league in the last several years. Since the 2018-19 season, he has been top 5 in MVP voting. But as any great player, Giannis believes that winning is more important than individual awards. Recently, he delivered another viral statement about winning and intimacy.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Delivers a Viral Statement on Intimacy
In his latest interview with The Athletic, Giannis Antetokounmpo talked about the MVP conversation, the Bucks’ struggles this year, and again, and his views on intimacy and winning. Nearly two years after he delivered a viral statement, the Bucks superstar did it again. He said,
“Listen, the MVP discussion is great. I’ve been in the MVP discussion, what, like the last seven years? Yeah, probably the last seven years — top three, top four, top three, top four. It’s good. It’s a great compliment. But at the end of the day, winning is a different feeling. I was able to live it once (with the 2021 title). Then I don’t know if people feel like it counts or it doesn’t count, or whatever it is, but winning is winning, so is the NBA Cup. It was like, wow, this feeling man, it’s like — it’s better than intimacy(laughs).”
Not the First Viral Statement on Intimacy From Giannis
In 2023, before the playoffs started, Giannis had an interview with Sam Amick of The Athletic. He talked about his part in the MVP race, how desperate he is to win a second championship, and a lot more. The Greek Freak admitted that his answer would probably go viral, and that happened. He said,
“Man, that feeling. That feeling was a great feeling. That feeling was one of the best feelings I’ve had, and I’m not even going to say what I’m thinking because it’s probably going to go viral. Man, I’m sorry man. I’m sorry, but it’s better than getting intimate. You know what I mean? You know, I love my wife-to-be-soon. I love my kids.”
Can the Bucks Win a Title?
As of March 25th, the Bucks are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference, just half a game in front of the Detroit Pistons. They are two games back from the Indiana Pacers for the fourth seed.
To be fair, with Giannis on the roster, they can always be a threat. But the challenge for the Bucks is they will have to go through both the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics. No matter on which side of the bracket they fall, they will have to beat one or both of them. They have a five-game losing streak against the Cavs and a three-game losing streak against the Celtics. They’ve lost all games to them this regular season.
According to Fox Sports, the Bucks have the eighth-best odds of winning a championship at +6600. The Timberwolves and Grizzlies have the same odds. Just for info, the Celtics and the Cavs have the second and third-best odds. As things stand right now, the Bucks might not be able to give Giannis Antetokounmpo another feeling better than intimacy. The team did make a couple of trades at the deadline to improve the roster. But we will see whether that pays out in the playoffs.
