CHICAGO — The Chicago White Sox have changed the name of Guaranteed Rate Field to Rate Field.
The name change is because the sponsor of the ballpark, Guaranteed Rate, changed their name to Rate.
“Rate has long been a valued naming rights partner, sharing the White Sox passion for the Chicago community and sports fans near and far,” said Brooks Boyer, White Sox chief revenue and marketing officer. “Like the White Sox, Rate is rooted in Chicago and committed to providing elite service to its customers. We look forward to welcoming fans to Rate Field to enjoy our ballpark experience, creating lasting memories for fans for years to come.”
The company bought the naming rights for the ballpark in 2016 after it was named U.S. Cellular Field in 2003. It opened as the second Comiskey Park in 1991.
The White Sox open up the 2025 season at home on March 27.
