There are no off days for the @SoxNerd!

1901, SOX SLAM THE FIRST SLAM: The Sox crushed Detroit 19-9 at South Side Park on the strength of two grand slams, including the first one in American League history by Herm McFarland. Dummy Hoy added a slam later in the game in support of winning pitcher Roy Patterson.
1924, PILFERING BILL BARRETT: Bill Barrett tied a big league record by stealing home twice – once in the first and once in the ninth — in the White Sox 13-7 win at Cleveland. Barrett finished 4-for-5 with three runs, a double and three RBI as part of a 15-hit outburst.
1951, THE GO GO ERA ARRIVES: Minnie Minoso broke the White Sox color barrier and homered in his first plate appearance in an 8-3 loss to the Yankees before 14,776 at Comiskey Park. 2009, SOX GETZ A WIN IN TEXAS: Chris Getz’s two-out triple in the seventh drove in Scott Podsednik with the go-ahead run in the White Sox 4-3 win at Texas. The RBI came an inning after Jim Thome had tied the game with a bases-clearing double.
2010, A WIN IN THE YANKS NEW HOME: A.J. Pierzynski’s two-run double in the seventh was the difference as the White Sox secured their first win at the Yankees’ new home with a 7-6 victory at New York. Andruw Jones hit two homers as the Sox posted their first win in New York since Sept. 16, 2008
