Martín Pérez gets the start for the White Sox this afternoon. Pérez has spent 13 years in the big leagues, including nine seasons with the Rangers, and finalized a one-year, $5 million deal with the White Sox late last month.

The Chicago lineup, at least the top half, has an “Opening Day” flavor, with key bats. Let that sink in for a minute.
Logan Allen will be starting for the Guardians. Allen was signed by Cleveland in 2020 and has spent his career between the Columbus Clippers and Cleveland.
