Battle of the Sox continues
Happy Sunday and Happy Easter! Today the Chicago White Sox will face off at Fenway with the Boston Red Sox for the third of the four-game set. Currently on a six-game losing streak and 2-8 in their last 10 games, the South Siders look to turn it around sometime soon. Will today be that day? Well, probably not, but we can hope. Anyways, let’s look at the starting pitchers, the lineups and some news heading into today’s game.
Sean Burke will be on the mound for the Sox as he looks to pick up his second win of the season. After his Opening Day masterclass, he has cooled down quite a bit. His ERA is now up to 7.56, with a 1-3 record. His last few games have been on the shorter side, as control has been a looming issue. He has not gone more than 4 1⁄3 innings since Opening Day.
Tanner Houck is on the mound for the Red Sox, a promising starter who was great last year. But Houck hasn’t had the best start to the season, 0-2 with a whopping 9.16 ERA. His last outing against the Tampa Bay Rays was … well, is there a word bigger than disaster? He went 2 1⁄3 innings with 10 hits and 11 earned runs.

The lineup was updated quite a bit today as Chase Meidroth was scratched due to thumb inflammation. Nick Maton moves to the leadoff spot in his place.
Right thumb soreness for Meidroth. Getting some images of the area that has bothered him for a few days. Perez has returned to Chicago for further evaluation, testing
