Who doesn’t want a heaping second helping of Sox on Sox action this weekend?

After taking two of three games in the Sox-Sox matchup last weekend on the South Side, your Chicago White Sox head to Beantown to take on the “storied” Boston Red (Yellow?) Sox at Fenway Park.
The Pale Hose enter play having lost four straight games, including a three-game sweep at the hands of the transient Athletics. Following the White Sox 11-1 drubbing of the Red Sox last Friday, the South Siders have scored a total of eight runs over their last five games. I’m no mathematician, but I think that averages out to about 1.5 runs per game, which certainly won’t lead to too many victories. Sadly, when players comprising the “heart” of your order are all sporting batting averages in the .100s, runs are going to be tough to come by.
Your probable starters for tonight’s affair:

Martín Pérez has been the surprise of the early season for the South Siders, going 1-0 in three starts, with a 1.59 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 17 innings pitched.

Hunter Dobbins takes the hill for the home team, making just his second major league start. The 25-year-old righthander surrendered two runs on eight hits with five strikeouts over five innings in his debut on April 6.

Don’t ask me to make sense of Venable’s lineup decisions tonight. Or any night for that matter. Inexplicable lineup decisions are just par for the course these days.
And for the home Sox, wearing their so-bright-it-hurts-my-eyes yellow Boston Marathon-inspired City Connects:
