Still on the cusp of losing only two out of every three games, if you’re wondering where the team goals stand
The Redlegs come to visit the White Sox on Friday, and it promises to be the tilt you’d expect between 5-13 (us) and 9-9 (them) clubs.

In a slight surprise of a move before the game, the White Sox demoted LHP Jared Shuster to Charlotte/minor league camp. Whether this was more a matter of a poor spring or stretching Shuster out in Triple-A to work as a starter instead of his long relief role of 2024, hard to say. But another key pitching piece from the 2024 White Sox roster has fallen.
Brighter fortunes are ahead for Mason Adams, who had a scintillating year at Birmingham in 2024 and is trying to make a case as a short-list spot-start call-up on the South Side in 2025.
A number of bubble players are in the lineup today, among them Michael Tauchman (.130) in right, Michael A. Taylor (hoping to add to his one his this spring) in center, Bobby Dalbec (.133, and why is he here, again?) at third and just-can’t-quit-him shortstop Jacob Amaya (.125) appropriately hitting ninth.
The game begins at 3:05 p.m. CT and like so many, only sorta can be seen; this one should appear as a whitesox.com stream. If not, or if that isn’t your style, ESPN-AM 1000 has the radio call.
