Michael Kopech made his 21st start of the season, second straight against the Cleveland Guardians and 10th on the road. He went 5.1 IP with 3 hits, 2 ER and 3 strikeouts.
Luis Robert Jr. got the White Sox on the board first in the 3rd inning! #88 hit a solo homer to extend his club record for most home runs by a center fielder with his 30th of the season.
In the 4th, Andrew Vaughn homered to left field to extend the lead, 2–0! Oscar Colás joined in with the 3rd solo homer of the night to lift the White Sox to 3–0.
In the top of the 6th, Elvis Andrus homered on a fly ball to left field, making the score 5–0. In the bottom of the 6th, the Guardians added two runs of their own.
Zach Remillard added insurance runs in the 8th. He singled on a line drive to Steven Kwan, bringing home Yasmani Grandal and Elvis Andrus. The Guardians tacked on two more in the bottom of the frame to make the score 7–4.
The White Sox defeated the Cleveland Guardians, 7–4, at Progressive Field in Cleveland, OH.
