In honor of the signing of Michael A. Taylor, here’s a look at all the Taylors who have played for the White Sox:
Player (Years with Sox)—Notes
*Wiley Taylor (1912): The last batter the Kansan faced with the White Sox was Ty Cobb on Sept. 3, 1912 at Comiskey Park. Cobb singled but was thrown out trying to steal third after stealing second for his third swipe of the game
*Leo Taylor (1923)—Walla Walla, Wash., native joins Ray Shook, Elmer Pence and the active Jose Rodriguez as the only White Sox players who played in one big league game with no plate appearances
*(The other) Michael Taylor (2014)—Outfielder joins Don Wakamatsu, Jake Miller and Hank Allen as players with the most White Sox hits (7) without an RBI
