Andrew Benintendi stays hot and adds some insurance in the bottom of the eighth inning on a 2-run RBI single to score Tommy Pham and Gavin Sheets. 4–2 Sox.
Rays would attempt a comeback in the top of the ninth on a Harold Ramírez RBI double, but pitcher Jordan Leasure would enter the game to shut them down and secure THE SWEEP!
White Sox starting pitcher Erick Fedde was dominant on the mound once again. Fedde tossed 8.1 innings, allowing only two runs while fanning nine Rays to secure his second win of the season. Jordan Leasure earned the save.
