Garrett Crochet’s first start of the spring could not have gone much better today against the Dodgers. He recorded five outs, none more impressive than his strikeout of Shohei Ohtani, and touched 99 on the radar gun. Paul DeJong gave the other notable performance of the day, blasting a three-run homer in the fourth inning. Colson Montgomery drove in two runs of his own, while Eloy Jimenez continued his hot Spring with a 2-for-2 effort.
Ultimately, six runs conceded in the final two innings – four of which came from Garrett Schoenle – ended up dooming the White Sox, who fall to 1-4 in Spring Training.
