*EDD ROUSH: AUG. 20, 1913—0-for-3 batting sixth and starting in center in a 1-0 over the Red Sox at Comiskey Park
*RED FABER: APRIL 17, 1914—Took a no decision after giving up two runs in 4.1 innings in a 6-5 win over Cleveland in 11 innings at Comiskey Park … 1-for-1 with a run and a walk
*TED LYONS: JULY 2, 1923—Fired a scoreless inning to close out the Sox 7-2 in St. Louis
*LUKE APPLING: SEPT. 10, 1930—1-for-4 batting sixth and playing shortstop in a 6-2 loss to the Red Sox at Comiskey Park
*JOCKO CONLAN: JULY 6, 1934—Future HOF umpire was 1-for-5 with an RBI batting first and playing right in a 7-5 win at Cleveland
*LUIS APARICIO: APRIL 17, 1956—1-for-3 batting eighth and playing shortstop in a 2-1 Opening Day win over Cleveland at Comiskey Park
*RICH “GOOSE” GOSSAGE: APRIL 16, 1972—Pitched a scoreless inning of relief with a walk (no decision) in a 2-1 loss to Kansas City at Comiskey Park
*HAROLD BAINES: APRIL 10, 1980—0-for-4 in a 5-3 loss on Opening Day to Baltimore at Comiskey Park. Baines batted sixth, played right field and went hitless against Jim Palmer and Tim Stoddard.
*FRANK THOMAS: AUG. 1990—0-for-4 with an RBI batting fifth a playing first base in a 4-3 win in the first game of a doubleheader in Milwaukee. Thomas’ RBI fielder’s choice in the ninth gave the Sox the lead for good
