Numerous players in the White Sox organization will be seeking new deals ahead of 2025.
As is typical every offseason, minor leaguers around baseball have been electing free agency over the past couple of weeks. Here’s a breakdown of those departing the Pale Hose and hitting the open market.

In total, the White Sox are losing 23 players – 15 right-handed pitchers, two left-handers, two catchers, two infielders, and two outfielders. All of the transactions date back to November 4 except for Peralta, who elected free agency on November 12 instead of accepting an outright assignment to the Knights.
Aside from Peralta, a couple of the most recognizable names on this list include Foster and Lambert. The two pitchers leave the organization after injuries prevented either from making significant contributions this past season.

Foster, 29, began the year on the injured list as he continued his recovery from Tommy John surgery performed in April 2023. He went on to make six appearances (one start) for the White Sox in 2024, posting a 2.70 ERA and four strikeouts before undergoing season-ending back surgery on September 25.
Lambert, 29, spent the entire year on the 60-day injured list with a right rotator cuff strain. He later underwent season-ending surgery on August 24. The former fifth-rounder ends his White Sox tenure with a 4.79 ERA in 99.2 innings pitched over four major league seasons.
Given these departures, the team will now be looking for additional talent to sign over the next few weeks and months. We will be monitoring transactions closely throughout the offseason and provide updates as moves are made.
