The right-hander departed the White Sox departed third in franchise history with an average of 9.6 strikeouts per nine innings behind Dylan Cease (10.8) and Chris Sale (10.1).
Giolito also left seven strikeouts shy of becoming the 12th pitcher in White Sox history to reach 1,000 Ks. His 993 strikeouts are fifth among righties in Sox history.
