My alphabetical review — @soxnerd style — at the 2023 White Sox continues with a look at SAMMY PERALTA:
The lefty became the first Sox pitcher to make his big league debut in the 12th inning in 57 years on May 4th.
Prior to Peralta, the last Sox hurler to debut in the 12th inning was Dennis Higgins, a cousin of Joe Crede’s, on April 12, 1966.
No Sox pitcher has made a big league debut in an inning later than the 12th.
