Just one week from today, White Sox fans will enjoy the return of baseball at Guaranteed Rate Field. While the team gears up for its home opener on Tuesday, April 12, the organization’s concessionaire partners, Delaware North Sportservice and Levy Restaurants, are introducing a variety of ballpark bites and beverages that are sure to match the excitement building on Chicago’s South Side.
Ballpark fare is a key element to fans’ gameday experience, so here’s a look at the deep rotation of new food offerings bringing the heat in 2022. Good luck picking an ace in this star-studded lineup from Delaware North.
1.) Froman’s Cheddar Pierogis
Fans asked, and we delivered! Back by popular demand, these golden-brown cheddar and potato pierogis are served with grilled onions and available to fans walking the concourse in Section 126.
2.) Pretzel-Wrapped Bratwurst
Combing two of the biggest ballpark food staples, White Sox classic stands are offering soft pretzel-wrapped bratwurst. Featuring a quarter-pound bratwurst, wrapped in a sea-salted pretzel dough and baked to perfection, this is an easy-to-eat creation to curb any fan cravings.
3.) Rainbow Cone
A Chicago tradition for more than 95 years, Rainbow Cone is giving fans on the 100- and 500-level concourses a taste of its sliced, not scooped, five-flavored cones. A sweet treat during the dog days of spring and summer, Rainbow Cone offers five delicious flavors — orange sherbet, pistachio, Palmer House, strawberry and chocolate.
4.) Smoked Wings
Smoked wings are not only a pitmaster’s pride and joy, but soon to be the South Side staple in 101 Smokehouse and Section 529. These deliciously dry-rubbed wings are house-smoked over hickory hardwood and served with a signature BBQ sauce.
Levy Restaurants also will provide a wide range of locally- and team-inspired dishes for White Sox fans to enjoy in the Club Level, Diamond Suites, Guaranteed Rate Club, Huntington Bank Stadium Club or Wintrust Scout Seats. Here’s a look at the dishes they’ve hit out of the park!
5.) Horchata Churro Milkshake
Available exclusively in the Stadium Club, this refreshing cinnamon horchata-style milkshake is completed with a fried churro, chocolate sauce drizzle, whip cream and a cherry on top.
6.) Jalapeño Artichoke Dip
With how good this is, there may never be enough to go around. Levy’s spiced-up version of the classic artichoke app features warm cream cheese, farm fresh artichokes, jalapeños, parmesan cheese and crispy tortilla chips and is available in all suites.
7.) Beer Cheese Burger Sliders
Order for the suite, and get down with one of the most American baseball bites out there. Beer Cheese Burger Sliders feature juicy patties, covered in melty IPA beer cheese, caramelized onions and pickles and are served on a toasted brioche bun.
8.) Mushroom Cap Veggie Burger
Vegetarian smelling that oh-so-familiar ballpark aroma of caramelized onions? Order a Mushroom Cap Veggie Burger in the Stadium Club and enjoy an herb-grilled mushroom cap topped with Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato and sweet chili aioli on a toasted wheat roll.
